How do I post audio/music to my blog?
from http://www.google.com/support/blogger/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=80259
The Quick Answer
- Choose whether to embed audio/music from a third-party site or to host your own (podcast).
- To podcast, choose a host to store your audio files, then enable 'Link Fields' in your Settings | Formatting tab.
- Use the link field to enclose audio files in your posts.
Embedding music/audio from third-party sites
If you'd like to embed a playlist or functionality from a third-party music service such as Last.fm or Imeem, Blogger's layouts feature makes it easy.- Visit your Template | Page Elements tab.
- Create a new widget by clicking "Add a Page Element."
- Choose the "HTML/Javascript" widget.
- Enter the HTML code provided by your third-party music service into the content window and click "Save Changes."
There are plenty of services to share and embed music available on the web. Here's a list of a few to get you started. Please keep in mind that these services aren't affiliated with Blogger, but we've heard good things about them.
- Last.fm
- Seeqpod
- Imeem
- IODA Promonet
- Hypster
- Streampad
- Splashcast
- Project Playlist
- FineTune
- MyFlashFetish
Podcasting
If you'd like a way to distribute ongoing recordings of your own, you may be interested in using your existing Blogger feed to create a podcast. Podcasts can be used for a variety of purposes, such as syndicating your own weekly internet talk show or mixtapes. They work by using your blog's existing feed to link to audio files you have hosted on the web. RSS Readers (such as Google Reader or Bloglines) then interpret your links as embedded audio files and provide an interface to play them. Note that your audio files will still be available directly on the blog, too.To get started, you'll need a place online to store your recordings. Blogger doesn't offer hosting services for audio files at this time; however, there are plenty of providers of online storage space that offer both paid and free hosting services, such as Box.net, MoveDigital, DreamHost, and BlueHost. Once you've uploaded your files to your web host of choice, you'll need to enable enclosure links to link to the file from within a Blogger post. To do so, just go to your Settings | Formatting tab and set the "Show Link fields" option to "Yes." This will add the enclosure link fields to your post editor. When composing a post, you'll then see a field for your enclosures. From there, just enter the URLs of your audio files, and your blog will instantly become a podcast. When viewed with most RSS readers or podcatchers (such as Google Reader, iTunes, or Bloglines), your recordings will appear as embedded music players. It's that easy!
If you'd like to further customize your podcast, you may be interested in checking out FeedBurner. By processing and optimizing your existing Blogger feed, FeedBurner not only offers extensive podcasting options but also the ability to customize, optimize, and monetize your feed and to track the number of listeners subscribed to your podcast.

Safe colors
Safe colors were invented to provide standard means for displaying web contents in times when 8 bit (256 colors) palette was used. Provided that 40 system colors were reserved for displaying interface items in Microsoft and Macintosh operating systems, 216 colors were left for graphic needs to ensure compatibility on various computer systems.
Nowadays, in most cases these 216 safe colors have became obsolete since most of the modern computers use 16-bit or higher color depth. However in some specific cases it might be essential to use only safe colors for maximum compatibility. Safe colors are also referred to as web safe colors, 216 cross platform colors, web palette, web-safe palette, non-dithering palette and / or 6x6x6 color cube.
Color chart shows Safe color names and appropriate HTML color codes (HEX and RGB values).
Tip: to sort colors, click color chart column header or footer. It is possible to sort colors by their Lightness, Name, HEX or RGB value. Use Online Color Picker to choose custom colors from millions of colors!

Online color chart
From http://www.febooti.com
Online color chart provides HTML color codes (HEX, Smart and Web Safe) in very accessible format. Click on color wheel to select a color and angle. Full color palette of selected color will be displayed on the right - and is structured in a way that color gains saturation from left to right and brightness from bottom to top. The most right color box displays the current color under the cursor and its HEX (also, Smart and Web Safe) color value. Note that color picker uses only HTML + CSS + javascript features. No any kind of plugins involved.

- Point a cursor over the color wheel or palette to pick a color or select an appropriate color range.
- In color picker gradient mode it is possible to choose gradient steps - 8, 16 or 24.
- Note that Smart and Web Safe color values are less precise since they are only approximations.
- Favorite colors toolbar fixes the color values of 20 most recently picked colors. Also, allows to choose from predefined basic colors (Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Magenta and Yellow).
- To sort picked colors, click color chart column header or footer. It is possible to sort colors by their Number, Lightness, Name, HEX value, Smart value, Web safe value or Description.
- Use Edit column's buttons to copy color HEX code to clipboard, remove color, or edit color description.
